Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel left fans stunned after delivering a personal rendition of Dolly Parton's 'I Will Always Love You' in honor of the country legend's passing.

Dolly Parton died at the age of 80 after a brief battle with cancer on August 25, as fans and stars alike shared heartfelt tributes to the music and philanthropy icon. The 59-year-old actor posted a black-and-white photo of the hitmaker on August 26, paired with a two-minute recording of himself singing Dolly's 1973 smash hit, popularized by Whitney Houston in the 1992 film The Bodyguard.

Vin's post comes after Dolly Parton's heartbreaking last ten-word statement before her death was revealed.

The post, which was captioned with a single prayer hands emoji, was flooded with comments from grief-stricken fans also mourning the loss of the country music legend.

At one point in the song, the high-octane action star, whose real name is Mark Sinclair Vincent, became emotional, with his voice wavering as he sang the lyrics "So, goodbye / Please, don't cry." The video ends with the words "love you..." written in blue text.

The tribute was met with thousands of comments praising the actor for his rendition of the hit song, as one fan wrote, "Vin, you never cease to amaze me. You are a man of many talents. A once in a generation actor, writer and now singer? Save some talent for the rest of us buddy!"

Another fan wrote, "What beautiful tribute ! Brave in more ways then one. Rest in peace Dolly, you will be deeply missed!"

A third commented, "One of the best covers of this song I’ve ever heard. Not because it’s musically perfect, but because it’s sung with the emotion that it should always be sung with," as a fourth echoed, "It's a lovely tribute, the emotion is true and that's all that really matters. So he ain't a true singer, he still put himself out there for her. Love is love."

Others chimed in with comments like, "She would have loved this cover, Vin" and "You did a great job. Dolly would have been honored," while some pleaded for the movie star to "Please release the full version on streaming."

Another fan joked, "This wasn’t on my bingo card," while one admitted, "He kinda ate this."

Dolly's death was confirmed in a prerecorded statement from her nephew and longtime bodyguard, Bryan Seaver, which was shared on her Instagram account on August 25.

Countless stars publicly paid their respects to Dolly, including Elton John, Pitbull, Beyoncé, Pedro Pascal, Jane Fonda, CNN's Kaitlan Collins, Khloé Kardashian, the singer's goddaughter Miley Cyrus, and many more.

Representatives for Dolly confirmed that a "small, private service" will be held for the singer's immediate family. She will then be laid to rest in Nashville beside her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, who died in March 2025 at age 82.
