Vera Wang is debuting a new look for year 77.

The namesake fashion designer celebrated her birthday on June 27 and brought in her next chapter by ditching her iconic long brunette tresses. Wang shared photos from her birthday celebration in Paris, in which she was seen sporting a new honey blonde lob, or long bob.

"JUST DOWN THE HALL !!! B'DAY TIME," she wrote on Instagram Monday, June 29, alongside photos of her birthday look, which included a white, floor-length Vera Wang Haute halter dress.

More photos of the celebration posted throughout the week included coffee garnished with her portrait in foam form, the designer blowing out candles on her massive birthday cake topped with sparklers and the number 77, and her mingling with guests. "I get by with a little help from my friends!!!" she wrote in a July 1 post.

The fashion icon has given blonde a test drive before, most recently at the Met Gala in May as well as the BAFTAs in February, modeling a platinum blonde look.

The designer has also played with wigs. At the 2025 Met Gala, she arrived with Keke Palmer wearing a jet-black bob with micro bangs. And at that year's BAFTA nominees party, she went with a long platinum wig.

But the honey blonde look seems to be Wang's best look yet. "HAPPY BDAY V!!!! The blonde moment & the dress are divine to ring in 77," one friend commented. "I luv everything about this look. Classic, sexy, summer, daring!!!" another wrote.

The bob has been having a moment this year, with stars like Margot Robbie, Zendaya, Beyoncé and Millie Bobby Brown trying the look on for size.
