Despite exchanging vows three times and having meaningful relationships, he could not hold on to them.

A source close to Cruise told The Daily Mail that the star is frustrated with his bachelor status, which has reportedly left him feeling lonely. Moreover, he is annoyed to see that Ana de Armas has moved on and is now in a new relationship.

According to an exclusive report byThe Daily Mail, a source told the outlet that Tom Cruise’s bachelor status has left him in a tough spot. The source said that the sight of his former partners thriving without him has made matters worse. The source said, “Tom is frustrated that his love life has not been smooth because often he is lonely.”

The source clarified that despite being single, he is not “desperate to find love,” and his close friend, Victoria Beckham, always tries to set him up with someone. They added, “But I do know that Tom would love to get married again and have it last, he wants a solid relationship. Like anyone, he wants to be in love.”

The report mentioned that Cruise and Katie Holmes split in 2012, an abrupt end that the source described as a “public humiliation.” The source noted, “I think it is hard for him to see her move on, but the truth is no one really knows, he doesn’t like talking about Katie.” They added that everyone in the actor’s circle knows not to bring up her name.

The source also said that his daughterSuri Noelle’s legal decision to drop ‘Cruise’ from her last name has been “crushing” for him. The father and daughter are estranged, as they have not been photographed together since 2012.

As for his failed marriage to Nicole Kidman, he reportedly wishedthings had worked out with her, but couldn’t make the relationship work. The source said, “They fought a lot and then they became super competitive. Nicole wanted a top career and pushed very hard to get it, she is not to be messed with.”

Their relationship became so strained that they would have “epic screaming matches.” They added, “These days he is just impressed with her career choices, and her Oscar, and in a strange way, he is proud of her. But he doesn’t miss her.”

However, in Oct. 2025, a source told People that Armas and Cruise were never an official couple. Later that month, an insider told US Weekly that the Ballerina star put the brakes on their relationship because she was “uncomfortable” with the pace at which their relationship was progressing.

The recent report from The Daily Mail noted that their bond became “too messy” and interfered with their professional ambitions. Consequently, they chose to stay friends, even after things did not work out between them. The source said, “It is hard for Tom to see her move on. He is happy for her if she is happy.”

Nevertheless, the insiders hope that the Mission: Impossible star manages to find ‘the one’ before his film The Digger hits theaters.
