- Joy Behar wasn't pleased with the 2026 Met Gala looks.

- The 83-year-old trashed fashions worn by SZA, Janelle Monáe, Heidi Klum, and more.

- Behar said SZA looked "like an allergy" in her gown.**

*The View* cohost Joy Behar has strutted out a full runway's worth of strongly worded opinions about stars' 2026 Met Gala fashions.

After hundreds of stars descended attended Monday night the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute fundraiser in New York City, where they attempted to dress in accordance with this year's theme, "Fashion Is Art," Behar, "felt some of them didn't understand the assignment," she said on Tuesday's episode. Behar made the comment after Sunny Hostin pointed out several artists who honored cultural contributions to fashion as well as artistic pieces that laid the foundation for their looks.

"Like, for instance, Janelle Monáe. She looked like a tree in *The Wizard of Oz*. We need apples to fall," the 83-year-old said. Conservative panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin stepped in to defend the recording artist, telling Behar, "You will not come for Janelle Monáe at this table!" to which Behar replied, "Excuse me, I paid attention to yours."

Sara Haines advised Griffin, "That's a 'shut your mouth,' Alyssa!" as Behar continued to trash the stars who attended.

"Zia. Seeza, how do you say her name?" Behar said of Oscar-nominated singer-songwriter SZA, who wore a floral-inspired yellow gown to the Met Gala. "This one, I need a Claritin to just look at the dress. It looks like an allergy or something."

Behar then set her sights on Bad Bunny, who wore her "favorite" look "as Wolf Blitzer," she said, referencing the Super Bowl performer's aged-up look that intentionally made him appear to be decades older than he is. "My favorite was Bad Bunny as Wolf Blitzer, even though he didn't mean it. He was the only one who actually tried to look older. Everyone else was going down at least 10 years," Behar said.

As the cohosts attempted to move the conversation along, Behar didn't pull punches. She warned Heidi Klum — who came dressed as a statue — to watch out "for the pigeons," and questioned, "Why is there a boat on her head?" with regard to the iconic Madonna's lauded look that referenced a surrealist painting by Leonora Carrington.

Earlier in the episode, *The View *cohosts broke down the ethics of the current Met Gala, as many protested the event — including Taraji P. Henson — over 2026 co-chairs Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sánchez Bezos.

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg noted that people protest "because, yes, terrible things are happening in our country, and wonderful things are happening at the same time," before urging, "It doesn't mean that you don't care that people are going hungry," and said stars often do charitable things outside of public view.

"I'm not mad at anybody who gets an opportunity to go and show their behind off and have a good night," the 70-year-old EGOT winner said. "In this world of so much B.S., go have a good time, go get your Oscar, go be glamorous, put on too much lipstick, put too many eyelashes on, go do it. If that's what you want to do, go do it."

On Instagram, Henson called out stars who attended the event amid the controversy, commenting, "I am so confused by some ppl that are going. I am just like WTF ARE WE DOING!?!?!?!"
