Where some celebrities went for the "less is more" motif, these stars went for the "more is more" angle and left us speechless.
Celebrities such as Beyoncé, Rihanna and Sabrina Carpenter not only decided to wear bold ensembles, they then topped their gala attire with some eye-popping gems worth gazillions of dollars. Still more attendees, such as Sudha Reddy and Isha Ambani, dug into their personal archives and brought out rare gems we might never see otherwise.
From $15 million necklaces from personal jewelry boxes, to intricate headpieces, to one-of-a-kind body necklaces, see the most dramatic (and eye-poppingly expensive) pieces of jewelry at the 2026 Met Gala.

Queen Bey wasn't shy about letting everyone know who reigns supreme as her head-to-toe bejeweled Olivier Rousteing look came with crown to match. And that's to say nothing of the hundreds of carats of Chopard diamonds and emeralds she wore on her neck, wrists and ears.

Isha Ambani had our jaws on the floor as she pulled up to the Met Gala in this custom Gaurav Gupta. The most fascinating spec about the look is that it was embroidered using one-of-a-kind stones from her mother Nita Ambani's private collection, including 200 old mine cut diamonds and a cascade of emeralds across the back "that used to be the Nizam's." (We'll let her show it off best, below.) And if that weren't enough? She added one more Lorraine Schwartz choker featuring a 50-carat emerald previously seen on Angelina Jolie's ring finger at the 2009 Oscars.

We couldn't have said it better than A$AP Rocky, who described his love as "shining bright like a diamond" as they made their way through the red carpet. For her 11th appearance at the Met Gala, Rihanna wore a dramatic Maison Margiela gown, whose center appeared to be dripping in jewels, complementing the rings and and other sparklers she put on for the night (by Fred Leighton, Briony Raymond, DYNE and Desert Diamonds by Glenn Spiro, as well as custom metal pin curls created by Jennifer Behr).

Sabrina Carpenter went meta for the "Fashion Is Art" dress code, wearing a dress made of rhinestone-studded film strips depicting scenes from the 1954 film Sabrina. Not only was the look ultra-creative, it was ultra-blinged out: She attached two Chopard diamond necklaces, about 50 carats each, to the dress, then added 10-carat diamond earrings and a jeweled headpiece for extra sparkle.

Her stylist Mariel Haenn told PEOPLE the piece features a Victorian-finished chain of large triangular and pear-shaped rose-cut diamonds set in floral clusters. Venus Williams accessorized her Swarovski look the only way a tennis legend would. Her entire look was inspired by painting of her, commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery and created by Robert Pruitt. The necklace, specifically, "is a re-creation of the Wimbledon-plate-inspired necklace seen in the painting, incorporating symbols of her family and career along with nods to the historic fight for equal pay in tennis and to the sport’s early Black champions," reported Vogue.
