Donald Trump's most ardent MAGA supporters have jumped on Harry and Meghan's bombshell decision to leave California and relocate their family to Britain, with one prominent conservative voice claiming the move is tied to the couple's antagonism toward the US President.
The Sussexes announced on Wednesday that they will return across the Atlantic this month, closing the chapter on six years of American life. Their revelation has triggered an instant political firestorm, with the couple's longstanding friction with Trump thrust back into the spotlight.
The news had been leaked to multiple media outlets before the couple went public with their plans, including one report which explicitly linked the relocation to their troubled relationship with the President. Harry and Meghan are anticipated to stay in Britain for an "extended period", with Archie and Lilibet already registered at a UK school.

Among the first to weigh in was Katie Miller, the wife of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller. Taking to X, she stated: "They are moving back to Britain because they don't like President Trump."
She paired the statement with a People Magazine article which said the Sussexes "have made no secret of their disillusionment with the current White House" ahead of the midterm elections. Miller went on to launch additional attacks at Meghan, suggesting she "always just wanted to be a celebrity" and claiming that the couple was "broke," reports the Express.

Conservative broadcaster Megyn Kelly also waded into the controversy following news of the transatlantic relocation, according to the Daily Mail. "We've done our time here in America my dear friend!" she wrote on X, responding to right-wing commentator Dan Wootton's post describing the development as "Megxit" being "reversed."
The Sussexes' rocky relationship with Trump is nothing new. Harry previously took aim at the President after Trump claimed NATO allies had "stayed a little back" during the war in Afghanistan.
The president had also cast doubt on whether NATO would come to America's aid if the U.S. "ever needed them."
Harry, who served in Afghanistan, fired back by emphasizing that "every allied nation was obliged to stand with the United States ... in pursuit of our shared security."
He invoked NATO's Article 5, saying: "Allies answered that call."
Harry added: "I served there. I made lifelong friends there. And I lost friends there."

There could, however, be other reasons behind the Sussexes' decision to leave their $14.7 million Californian home. People Magazine revealed that Harry believes Meghan is receiving a warmer reception from the British public.

The Duke was reportedly encouraged by the significant attention his wife attracted during a recent visit to Birmingham. Despite their homecoming, the Sussexes are not anticipated to return to their previous royal roles.
The couple will reside in a non-royal residence and will continue as private, non-working members of the Royal Family.
King Charles was informed by Harry on Sunday that the family planned to relocate to Britain later this month. The monarch is believed to "welcome" the opportunity to spend additional time with his son and grandchildren on a private and personal level.
However, the King has clarified there will be "no alteration" to Harry and Meghan's position or status as private individuals and non-working members of the Royal Family.
That remains in line with their "clearly expressed wishes and agreement over past years."
Sources have emphasized that resuming royal duties is not part of the Sussexes' "plan." The Express understands there was no discussion of the relocation when Harry, Meghan and their children met Charles at Highgrove earlier this summer.
The timing could therefore suggest that the King was taken by surprise by the announcement. Harry had already been scheduled to visit Britain next month for a WellChild Awards ceremony, with lodging organized for him at Buckingham Palace.
That arrangement will no longer be needed, however, as the Duke, 41, and Duchess, 45, are anticipated to return with their children within the coming fortnight and stay for a considerable duration. Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, have already been enrolled at a British school, with sources indicating the family may stay in the country throughout their children's schooling years.
There remains no official word that the move will be permanent. For security and privacy purposes, the location of their new British residence has not been revealed.
Harry and Meghan are nonetheless anticipated to maintain their Montecito estate, where they have resided since departing Britain for America.
They also keep a residence in Portugal. The surprising return home represents a striking new phase six years after the Sussexes withdrew from working royal responsibilities and established their life across the Atlantic.
