Nicole Kidman stunned Monday, as she walked the red carpet at the 2026 Met Gala, not only because of her wardrobe but because her eldest daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, whom she shares with ex-husband Keith Urban, was by her side.

Kidman was a co-chair at this year's event — along with Beyoncé, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour — which had the theme "Costume Art."

The actress, who was nominated for an Oscar for her work in *Moulin Rouge*, is certainly familiar with that.

Kidman wore a drop-waist gown in deep red, made of sequins and feathers, from Chanel, while Sunday, who turns 18 in July, wore a colorful pink Dior gown.

Sunday actually dressed up for another big event last month: her prom. The model, who's worked for brands including Dior and Calvin Klein, shared a photo of herself wearing a dress with a tulle skirt and a shimmering bodice as she sat on a staircase.

The *Hours *star, who did win the Academy Award for that one, has maintained a close relationship with her daughters, Sunday and 15-year-old daughter Faith, through the years.

"We're so close, the three of us," Kidman said April 18 at a HISTORYTalks event in Philadelphia, per PEOPLE. "We talk about everything."

She explained how their conversations usually go.

"It means sitting on the end of their bed, when they say, 'Come in here, sit down.' And you go in, and you're exhausted, and you sit down and you listen," Kidman said. "And I always say, 'Do you want me to give you advice now, or are you just sort of venting?'"

Mostly, she said, she is told to hold her advice.

The star also said she maintains a rule that her daughters hug her for two minutes per day.

“It releases certain chemicals in the body and everyone needs to be hugged for about two minutes a day," the *Practical Magic* star said. "Did you know that?"

Kidman is also mother to two older children she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise: Bella, 33, and Connor, 31.

She's spoken about her strong bond with her own mother, who died in September 2024.
