The price of gas continues to skyrocket. The national average per gallon is $4.46. Hardest hit are the Midwest states. One television report on Sunday said some of them have seen prices rise by more than a dollar a gallon in the past week. California remains more than $6 per gallon on average. Oil per barrel is at $103 so gas prices won't be easing anytime soon.
Since the start of the war with Iran, the average cost of a gallon of regular unleaded has ranged from $3.48 to $3.59, then to $3.79, and now to $4.46.
