Chicks on the Square, a popular downtown Macomb restaurant known for its signature “chicken lips,” is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The Macomb Area Chamber celebrated Chicks on the Square’s 20th anniversary with a ribbon cutting on April 29 in downtown Macomb.

The Ambassador Committee of the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting April 29 to mark the milestone, according to a community announcement.

Located at 103 S. Side Square, Chicks on the Square opened Feb. 1, 2006, and has become a local favorite, earning top reviews on Google, Yelp and TripAdvisor.

A menu built around chicken lips and comfort food

The menu features hand-battered chicken with a variety of sauces, as well as pub-style favorites like burgers, wraps, pizza and loaded fries. The restaurant prides itself on customer service and quality food, according to the announcement.

Chicks on the Square is open daily for dine-in and carryout. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Online ordering is available at chicksonthesquare.com.
