Jeff Bezos is letting his hair down.
The Amazon founder, 61, has been shedding his once hairless reputation in recent months, and just before Christmas, he was seen with possibly his longest look yet.
On a pre-Christmas outing in Aspen, Colo., with his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, 56, the business titan was photographed with a growing gray beard, which is quite the departure from his once-clean-shaven image.

Along with his facial hair, Bezos channeled a unique fashion-forward outfit complete with a black jacket, jeans and a cowboy hat. Bezos previously showed off slightly grown-out hair, which he first stepped out with in July and later displayed at Paris Fashion Week.
Sánchez Bezos, who wed Bezos in a lavish and star-studded wedding in Venice, Italy, on June 27, also leaned into winter style. She wore a zip-up sweater, wide-leg jeans and aviator sunglasses.
The pair's outing may point to a new direction in Bezos' wardrobe, which was once filled with simple business attire. After all, the couple will play a large part in the upcoming 2026 Met Gala.
Both Bezos and Sánchez Bezos will serve as primary donors of next year's ball, as announced by Vogue in November. The two made their Met Gala debut as a couple in 2024, but Bezos has attended many times in past years. Saint Laurent and Condé Nast will also donate toward the event.
Their involvement in fashion's biggest event of the year sparked controversy, in part due to Bezos' recent involvement in President Donald Trump's administration. On Nov. 18, he attended a state dinner with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman at the White House, at which fellow tech billionaires Elon Musk and Apple CEO Tim Cook were also present.

Following the news, Anna Wintour, a longtime Met Gala co-chair and Vogue's Global Creative Director and Chief Content Officer, told CNN, "I think Lauren is going to be a wonderful asset to the museum and to the event."
"[I'm] very grateful for her incredible generosity, and she's a great lover of costume and obviously of fashion, so we're thrilled she's part of the night."
The upcoming Met Gala is themed to "Costume Art" and marks the inauguration of the Institute's first permanent galleries at the museum. The nearly 12,000-square-foot Condé M. Nast Galleries will sit adjacent to The Met’s Great Hall, and its opening indicates “a huge moment for the Costume Institute,” shared curator in charge Andrew Bolton. Co-chairs include Wintour, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Beyoncé, who will return to the Met Gala after a 10-year hiatus.
