Jacob Batalon and his fiancée Veronica Leahov are in the home stretch of wedding planning!

Batalon caught up with PEOPLE exclusively at a special New York screening of his new film, The Wrecking Crew, on Thursday, Jan. 15. During the conversation, PEOPLE asked the actor how the wedding prep process was going.

“It's almost done,” Batalon, 29, revealed, before sharing that Leahov has done the bulk of the legwork.

“I have not planned anything at all … my fiancée, she's really good at it. I genuinely just was like, ‘Tell me when and where and I'll make it. I'll make it.’ ”

The Spider-Man: No Way Home actor popped the question in March during a romantic New York City proposal and shared photos from the special moment on Instagram.

The snaps featured Batalon getting down on one knee as a surprised Leahov, an architectural designer, placed her hand over her mouth. Another photo featured her left hand adorned with a square cut engagement ring.

“The beginning of the rest of our lives together❤️‍🔥♾️🔐👸🏼👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏽🤞🏽🌎,” he captioned the sweet roundup.

While Batalon isn’t partaking in much wedding planning, he did share that he has something special — and secret — planned for Valentine’s Day while speaking to PEOPLE at The Wrecking Crew screening.

“[It’s] a secret plan. A really cool, magic-filled secret plan,” he said.

He went on to discuss his experience making The Wrecking Crew, an action comedy starring Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista that premieres on Amazon’s Prime Video on Jan. 28.

“I think everything that we did and said was all improvisation. I don't think I said one word right at all, but they like allowed me to do so. It was really fun,” he said.

The actor also expressed excitement over reuniting with Tom Holland and Zendaya for the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set to premiere later this year.

“They me,” he joked of Holland and Zendaya, whose engagement broke in January 2025.

“I feel like they took my s-–-. That was my s--- first!” he added.
