Hy-Vee is launching initiatives in May to support military veterans and active-duty service members.

Customers can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at Hy-Vee stores this month to help organizations supporting veterans and military families, according to a community announcement. The American Red Cross, Honor Flight Network, Hope for the Warriors, Operation First Response and the Puppy Jake Foundation will receive the proceeds. Hy-Vee will match customer contributions up to $100,000.

Veterans and active-duty service members can also enjoy free coffee every Wednesday in May from 6 to 10 a.m. at Hy-Vee stores with hot food service, according to the announcement.
