Drew Scott shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute to Linda Phan for their eighth wedding anniversary
The couple met 16 years ago at a Toronto Fashion Week event, which Scott said he almost didn't attend
They tied the knot in a 2018 ceremony in Italy and now share two children, Parker and Piper
Drew Scott almost tested fate on the day he met his wife, Linda Phan!
The Property Brothers: Under Pressure star, 48, shared a sweet tribute to his wife on Instagram in honor of their eighth wedding anniversary. The Monday, May 4, post included a collection of photos and videos taken throughout their marriage, including sweet moments with their kids, Parker and Piper.
“When you're 32, you'll be invited to a Toronto Fashion Week event…” Scott wrote over the clip in white text, adding, “it's very important that you go.”

In the caption, the HGTV host revealed he almost didn't go to the event that ended up changing his life forever: “And to think I almost stayed home that night…😅 Happy anniversary, Lindy!”
Also featured in the post were scenes from the pair's wedding day, including their lively first dance and a close-up look at their wedding attire. Other clips showed the pair lounging at home together and traveling with their children.
After meeting at the fashion week event 16 years ago, Scott later popped the question in an elaborate proposal at Toronto's Piano Piano restaurant in 2016. Two years later, the couple tied the knot in a whimsical outdoor ceremony in Italy on May 4, 2018.
The pair welcomed Parker, their first child, on their fourth wedding anniversary in May 2022. In January 2024, they announced they were expecting again on Instagram, and later welcomed their baby girl, Piper, on May 21, 2024.
While chatting with PEOPLE in 2025, Scott opened up about his daughter's first words and how she had a hard time saying “dada” at first.

“'Mama' was her first word, and she would say it all the time. And then months are going by. I'm like, ‘Come on. 'Dada, dada, dada, dada.' Her second word — 'Hippo.' Her stuffy is a hippo. Her second word was 'hippo.' I'm like, ‘You can't even say Dada before Hippo?' ” Scott joked.
He added at the time, “Now she's saying 'Dada,' so I'm happy.”

When Piper was 5 months old, Scott revealed his daughter was having trouble telling him apart from his twin brother Jonathan Scott during the brothers' November 2024 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
“Piper is now starting to recognize it's not me,” Drew said at the time, referring to his daughter's reaction to seeing Jonathan.
Jonathan agreed, adding, “Now Piper has officially started to recognize me because, for the first several months, she was confused as to why Daddy shaved.”
“And got older looking and more wrinkled and more gray,” Drew quipped.
