President Donald Trump made a lewd comment about Nicki Minaj’s anatomy during a Michigan rally appearance.
“By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before — Nicki Minaj,” Trump said behind the lectern at Port Huron’s McMorran Place Arena. “That’s hard to miss.”
Trump was referencing another derriere-related compliment he gave to Jon Husted, a Republican Senator from Ohio, which recently went viral.
Rapper Nicki Minaj has become one of President Donald Trump’s strongest supporters, and he has a unique way of repaying her loyalty.
While speaking at a rally in Michigan on Saturday, Trump, who traveled to Port Huron’s McMorran Place Arena with Minaj on Air Force One, made the following off-the-cuff remark: “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before — Nicki Minaj. That’s hard to miss.”
Even the non-sequitur–prone politician had to acknowledge that he’d veered off course by a few too many degrees. “Okay I’m going to get back to my... I’m sorry,” he remarked to the cheering crowd. “I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki. She’s been with us for a long time.”
The comment appeared to come from nowhere, but was likely a reference to another derriere-related compliment Trump recently rained on one of his political allies.
“I looked at his ass. I’ve never done that with a man before. Off the record — women, yes. Men, no,” Trump said on Tuesday at a rally in Greenville, N.C. He was speaking about Ohio Republican Sen. Jon Husted, who was elected in 2025 to the seat vacated by Vice President JD Vance and is currently up for re-election. “I’m studying his body. I’ve never studied the body of a man before. It’s not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course.”

Minaj is even being floated for a Trump administration appointment by some of the President’s closest allies after the weekend’s rally.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shared a video of Minaj raving about Trump’s foreign policy strategy aboard Air Force One on social media on Sunday with the caption, “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!”
The official “Trump War Room” account endorsed that message, sharing the video and writing, “Press Secretary [Nicki Minaj] has a nice ring to it!”

Minaj became a vocal supporter of the 47th President of the United States in 2025. The Grammy-nominated musician shared an official White House TikTok that November touting all of Trump’s achievements while in office, set to her 2012 hit, “Beez in the Trap.”
She has since boasted about being selected as one of the recipients of the President’s “Trump Gold Cards,” which purport to immediately grant citizenship to undocumented individuals. In May, Minaj revealed that she finally went public with her Trump support last year after her Los Angeles home was raided by a SWAT team. When she allegedly called California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom for support, “He just completely ignored me, with all the money I spent in taxes.”
