Colin Farrell accidentally swore — multiple times — during the live broadcast of Fox's FIFA World Cup after show.
Host James Corden was quick to correct him after Farrell dropped the F-bomb.
Stunned, Farrell admitted that he didn't realize the show was live, quipping, "It might not have been that different but I didn't know that."
Despite spending over three decades in the entertainment business, Colin Farrell is still learning the ins and outs of live television.
Luckily, James Corden — a veteran TV star himself — was present to give Farrell a pretty key piece of advice when the actor joined Tuesday's episode of his Fox FIFA World Cup show, After Hours.
During the live show, Farrell was extremely cavalier about his language, dropping several curses that were later highlighted in an Instagram montage.
"It's a tough sport, despite what Americans say, 'It's for p----s," Farrell said in one clip.
"I'm not making this shit up because y'all see it every day," he said in another, later adding, "It's just chef's kiss shit."

The breaking point came when Farrell turned his attention to a prominent figure in the set dressing of the talk show, asking Corden, "Who the f--- is that in the corner?"
"Let me tell you two things," Corden began. "Number one, that's the waxwork Pelé from Madame Tussauds. And number two: this is live."
At that, the crowd and all of Farrell's fellow panelists broke out into laughter as the realization of his foul language set in.
"So you just can't," Corden trailed off before bursting into laughter himself as Farrell sat there in stunned silence.
"I didn't know that," Farrell admitted. "It might not have been that different, but I didn't know that. I would've liked to have known that."
He then quipped that it would've helped if the show was titled differently. "Wait, it's called 'Live with…?' No it's not, it's called After Hours."

Hilariously, this was not Farrell's first time accidentally dropping the F-bomb on live TV. He made almost the same exact faux pas during a September visit to the Today show with Margot Robbie — except in that case, Farrell was well aware that the show was live.
The duo, in the middle of promoting their film A Big Beautiful Journey, were discussing Robbie's pregnancy snack of choice when a staffer from the Today kitchen surprised them by bringing it out.
“Tayto cheese and onion, white bread, white, cheap bread, thick butter," Farrell explained. "I brought one in every morning for her. That was my job every night was to make that for her."
After biting into the sandwich, he admitted, "That’s not bad. Is that Tayto? That is Tayto. Is that Tayto? It is."
Proud that he correctly named the chip brand, Farrell declared, "I f---ing knew it!"

The reactions were immediate: the live audience laughed in shock, Robbie immediately hit her costar on the shoulder, and Farrell's eyes turned wide at realizing his mistake.
“Oh my God!” host Craig Melvin exclaimed.

Brushing it off, Farrell said, "They misheard me!”
When Melvin jokingly asked the actors what their film was rated, Farrell quipped, "I have no idea," while Robbie insisted, "It’s a nice family film."
