The couple founded The Store in March 2020, in partnership with Belmont University. In addition to providing free groceries to its customers, The Store also offers health and legal aid to those it serves, in addition to music therapy.
"This has been our dream," Kimberly told PEOPLE in 2021, of the store's founding. "People will be able to come and shop with dignity and make choices for their family."Swift — who opened for Brad, 53, on tour early on in her career —has also been a supporter of the Tennessee charity. Earlier this year, on Jan. 13, The Store announced on Facebook that Swift, 36, had provided a “generous gift” to help the nonprofit organization “continue providing groceries with dignity and choice to families across Middle Tennessee.”
“Thank you, Taylor, for using your voice and generosity to uplift neighbors in need,” the post read. The Store thanked Swift on Instagram Stories, too, in a post that read: “We are so grateful for @taylorswift's generosity + support of The Store as we continue our fight against food insecurity in our communities 💚."
