A now-viral clip shows Ayesha reacting to her husband stepping on the train of her dress, nearly causing a wardrobe mishap

Stephen and Ayesha Curry knew how to rebound after a near wardrobe malfunction on the way to the Met Gala.

The couple made their second appearance at the starriest night in fashion on Monday, May 4. But before making their entrance, a video shared to Instagram showed the slightly bumpy road to actually getting to the Met.

In a clip shared by account @mickmicknyc, 37-year-old Ayesha — who wore a Balenciaga ensemble — can be seen leaving The Pierre Hotel with Stephen right behind her. However, he stepped on her long, sheer train. She turned and gave him a piercing stare while he appeared sheepish.

Stephen, 38, spruced up for the night in a Balenciaga number complete with a hooded coat.

While walking the carpet, the basketball all-star spoke with E! Newshost Zuri Hall about his inner conflict from being at the gala. "On one hand, I love it," he said. "On the other hand, that means I'm not playing basketball right now."

His team, the Golden State Warriors, did not make the NBA playoffs this season after the Phoenix Suns eliminated them in a play-in game last month. One day after their loss, Steph and Ayesha went into postseason mode and hit the second weekend of Coachella in Indio, Calif., where they enjoyed sets by Justin Bieber and Labyrinth.

However, he didn't let his mood get in the way of a good time, as he was pictured at The Metropolitan Museum of Art with Russell Wilson and Ciara.

The Currys tied the knot on July 30, 2011, and welcomed their first child, daughter Riley, the following year. Since then, their family has grown by three more with the arrival of daughter Ryan in 2015, son Canon in 2018 and son Caius in 2024.

They made their Met Gala debut in 2021, which was themed "Celebrating In America: A Lexicon of Fashion." They sparkled in coordinating gold-themed looks, she in a beaded gown with a thigh-high slit and he in an embellished suit.
