Taylor Swift's engagement ring is definitely no "Paper Ring."

The "Lover" singer and NFL star Travis Kelce announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26, 2025. The couple shared romantic photos from their floral-filled proposal, captioned, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨."

The milestone came nearly two years after the pair first sparked dating rumors when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed on his New Heights podcast — which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce — that he tried to give Swift his number during a stop on the Eras Tour. They confirmed their romance in October 2023, went Instagram official in June 2024 and made their red carpet debut in June 2025.

In the lead-up to their nuptials — which are rumored to take place at Madison Square Garden ahead of the Fourth of July weekend — Swift showed off her dazzling ring on several occasions, admitting to Jimmy Fallon in October 2025 that she "[looks] at it constantly" and flashing it to a crowd in June 2026 while performing "Love Story."

From the design to its estimated cost, here's everything to know about Taylor Swift's engagement ring from Travis Kelce.

Swift's old mine brilliant cut diamond ring is estimated to be 7 to 10 carats

Swift's engagement ring boasts a massive old mine brilliant cut diamond, a rectangle-cut diamond with antique references. The ring — which is estimated by Angelic Diamonds' Neil Dutta to be between 7 and 10 carats — appears to be a bezel setting, meaning it wraps around the center stone.

The main diamond is flanked by "half-moon plus ... small round" side jewels, which give it a "vintage" feel, Jared Jewelers' VP of Merchandising Ann Grimmett said in a press release.

According to Grimmett, the ring's center diamond appears to be a "5 to 6 [carat] elongated cushion cut, set in 18k yellow gold."

Kelce designed the ring with Kindred Lubeck

For his proposal, Kelce tapped jewelry designer Kindred Lubeck of brand Artifex Fine Jewelry, which houses luxury designs retailing upwards of $33,600.

The NFL tight end co-designed the sparkler alongside Lubeck, who gave the diamond antique references.

During an October 2025 appearance on the U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast, the "So High School" singer shared that she first introduced her fiancé to Kindred Lubeck's work 18 months before he popped the question with one of their designs.

"I had shown him a video, I just thought her stuff was so cool, I had shown him a video like a year and a half ago and he was just paying attention to everything it turns out because when I saw the ring I [gasped] ... I was like, 'I know who made this, I know who made this,' and also, you listen to me!' " Swift said.

She added, "It was like, you really know me. I didn't know what I would want, but he did somehow, and that's kind of a flex."

The ring is estimated to cost between $3.5 and $5 million

While the exact price of Swift's engagement ring is unknown, several jewelers have shared their estimates for the sparkler.

Hollywood jeweler and designer George Khalife estimates the rock to be between $3.5 and $5 million, while Dutta values it between approximately $1.3 and $1.5 million. Grimmett, however, believes the ring is priced much lower, between $125,000 and $175,000.

Swift joked she got a "hardware upgrade"

Swift jokingly called her engagement ring her "hardware upgrade" during an October 2025 appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

"I could just watch it like it's a TV," Swift joked as she looked down at her ring.

During her October 2025 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Swift told the host that while she loves her engagement ring, its significance and what it "represents" is just as important.

"He's just my favorite person I've ever met, no offense to everyone else, but the fact that this is the person that I get to hang out with every day forever, that's the whole thing of it," she said. "You look at it and you're like, ‘I'm going to hang out with him forever,' and this represents that."
