Peter Phillips, the eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, married Harriet Sperling in June 2026.
The latest royal is a pediatric nurse with NHS, who hails from Gloucestershire.
Since making her first public appearance with Phillips in early 2024, Sperling has proven herself a budding style icon.
Peter Phillips –the eldest grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth II– has married his love, Harriet Sperling. In June, the couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble, near Cirencester, on June 6.
The NHS nurse wore an angelic turtleneck gown that featured floor-length column skirt and sheer lace details on the chest and long sleeves. She styled her sleek blonde hair in an updo that was crowned with a dramatic lace veil and a diamond tiara.
Phillips wore a black longline blazer that extended to his calves. He paired the look with black pinstripe trousers, black dress shoes, a white dress shirt, and a vivid blue tie.

Several members of the British royal family were in attendance at the ceremony, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Edward and Sophie, as well as Peter’s mother, Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and Peter’s sister, Zara Tindall, and her husband, Mike Tindall.
Prince Harry, the former Prince Andrew, and Sarah Ferguson were not among the invited guests, according to previous reports.
It was the second marriage for both the bride and groom. Because the couple married in a church, Phillips and Sterling were required to receive special permission, which they obtained from a vicar ahead of the ceremony. With the wedding, Phillips became the first of Queen Elizabeth’s eight grandchildren to remarry.
Phillips was previously married to Autumn Kelly from 2008 to 2021; they share two daughters, Savannah, 14, and Isla, 13. Sperling, meanwhile, was previously married to fitness instructor Antonio St. John Sperling, with whom she shares a daughter, Georgina, 13.

As the bride walked down the aisle, she carried a bouquet of lily of the valley flowers to honor Queen Elizabeth II. In an interview with the Telegraph, florist Millie Richardson shared that the symbolic florals were “used in Elizabeth’s Coronation bouquet in 1953, as well as in her wedding to Prince Philip in 1947. The inclusion of lily of the valley, which grows on the 39 acres of Buckingham Palace’s grounds, at her eldest grandson’s wedding in All Saints Church, Kemble, symbolizes the strong bond between Elizabeth and Mr Phillips.”
They announced their engagement in August 2025.

After one year of dating, Phillips announced he and Sperling were engaged on August 1, 2025.
“Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement,” read a statement shared with CNN by the couple’s spokesperson.

The statement added: “Both families were informed jointly of the announcement and were delighted with the wonderful news of their engagement. Their Majesties The King and Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales have been informed of the announcement.”

As their wedding date announcement reveals, Sperling and her family hail from Gloucestershire, a county in South West England. Per The Telegraph, the NHS pediatric nurse is one of four siblings. She reportedly attended St Mary’s University and worked at a London children’s hospital following her graduation. Outside of nursing, she’s a freelance writer who’s contributed to publications like Woman Alive.
She’s a mom.

Sperling reflected on spending 10 years as a single mother in a 2024 op-ed for Woman Alive. “In the earlier years of my journey as a single mother to my daughter, resources were scarce, and the future was uncertain,” she wrote. “Yet, in the absence of material security, I discovered the strength and life that comes from true selfless love. A love that is able to be solely devoted to your child.”Per Vanity Fair, Sperling shares her daughter Georgia with her ex-husband, Antonio St. John Sperling. Phillips, is also a girl dad to the children he shares with ex-wife Kelly: daughters Savannah and Isla Phillips.
She and Phillips went public with their relationship in 2024.

Hello! reports that the nurse and businessman met at a 2024 sporting event. In May of that year, the new couple made their first public appearance at the Badminton Horse Trials in Gloucestershire. Sperling and Phillips were seen talking with Queen Camilla at the event. Phillips’ daughters were also in attendance.
A few months later, they attended Royal Ascot together. Sperling joined the King’s nephew in the carriage procession at the prestigious racing event. A bevy of other sporty outings followed through 2025, including appearances at Wimbledon and the Royal Charity Polo Cup. More recently, Sperling and Phillips attended Cheltenham Festival’s Gold Cup Day in March 2026. Their fondness for the races is something they share in common with Phillips’ mother Anne, Princess Royal, a lifelong equestrian.
She’s on her way to becoming a royal fashion icon.

The bride has already garnered media attention for her practical-meets-posh wardrobe (with many of her favorite brands having the Kate Middleton seal of approval). She appears to favor British designers like Suzannah London, Penelope Chilvers, and Beulah London.
At Royal Ascot 2025, she aced the royal style report card in a £725 yellow Beulah London dress with a matching Nicola de Selincourt fascinator. She accessorized with a pair of beige heels from Emmy London and an Anya Hindmarch pearl clutch.

Following their August 2025 engagement announcement, jewelry experts were quick to size up the latest royal engagement ring. Tobias Kormind, co-founder of 77 Diamonds, told People at the time that Sperling’s sparkler “appears to be a timeless trilogy design, likely showcasing a central oval or round diamond, flanked by trapeze-cut or triangular side stones.”
“While an exact valuation would require a clearer image and knowledge of its provenance, a similar design with diamonds of comparable quality and size crafted at 77 Diamonds would typically be priced from around £10,000, with the final price reflecting individual choices in cut, carat and craftsmanship,” he added. If true, Sperling’s ring is worth approximately $13,000—which is on the tame end for royal proposal pieces.
It’s also got a special connection to one of his relatives. Per People, the ring was designed by Pragnell. The fine jeweler previously acquired Philip Antrobus, the house behind Queen Elizabeth II’s engagement ring from Prince Philip.
