Adam the Woo made a name for himself before his death by sharing his travels and adventures with the world — and he often brought his family along for the ride.
The YouTuber, whose real name was David Adam Williams, was born in Tupelo, Miss., to his parents, Jim and June Williams, who raised him alongside his sister, Faith Murray.
Adam rose to internet fame after starting a YouTube channel in 2009, going on to create his most notable channel, The Daily Woo, three years later. While the Disney expert often shared his travels to Disneyland and Disney World, he also filmed road trip vlogs across the country — including visiting all 50 states — and documented glimpses into his family life.
On Dec. 22, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office confirmed to PEOPLE that Adam was found dead in his home in Celebration, Fla., at 51 years old. Murray shared a post on Facebook in the wake of her brother's death, writing, "My big brother, my biggest supporter, my only sibling died today and I don’t know how to handle it. My heart is broken and he will never be back again."
She continued, "All I can say is I am completely broken and wish it was not true with all of my heart. I will be going to be with my parents so we can mourn our loss but nothing will ever be the same again."

Adam was born in Tupelo, as he shared during a road trip YouTube video with his father, Jim.
Jim — who was raised in Aberdeen, Miss. — has worked as a youth minister for many years, though it's unknown if he is still working. Per his Facebook, he studied at Atlanta Christian College.
Meanwhile, June, who was raised in Martinsville, Va., is a retired school bus driver, per her Facebook.

Although it's not known when Adam and his sister were born, he is an older brother to Murray.
In December 2015, he shared a childhood photo of him carrying Murray as a baby on Facebook, captioned, "Happy Birthday to my little sister . Hard to believe how fast time flies ."
In addition to his travels, Adam often shares photos and memories from his childhood on social media. In November 2025, he shared a "rare" throwback photo on Facebook from when he caught his first "glimpse" of a television at 6 years old.
"In 1980 my family borrowed a TV set from a friend for a couple days," he wrote. "It was 5 years later we bought our own in the mid 80s and would rent a VCR on the weekends to watch movies on. Until I was 11 years old we never had a television in our house."

In July 2025, Adam shared a photo of them holding hands on Facebook, writing, "Happy 56th anniversary to my wonderful parents."
One year earlier, he shared that they celebrated the milestone by staying at Disney's Riviera Resort.

Adam's parents and sister have been featured on his YouTube channel as they've all taken trips with him.
In May 2021, Adam and his father went on a road trip together. Adam called it "a trip through nostalgia," as they revisited places from his childhood and reflected on their memories.
June joined them for another trip in December 2024, when Adam and his parents visited the courthouse square from Back to the Future, per Adam's Facebook.
More recently, Adam shared a YouTube video in May 2025 from a day spent with his sister in Boise, Idaho, where they went record shopping downtown and visited an old penitentiary-turned-museum.

In October 2020, Adam was in attendance as his sister tied the knot with her husband. He shared a photo from the nuptials on Facebook, writing, "My little sister got married today."
"I am thankful I was able to be there to witness it and see her happiness," he continued.
